I'm assuming everyone (with an early camera) will wait till they do the Audio board/ Battery plate updates to their Red's before having this mod done. As Red is asking for the return of all the chargers and battery plates along with the cameras so they can be updated with the new design.

Looks like a great mod, Can't wait to have it done.

I agree its best to wait till RED upgrades their plates on the earlier camera's.

But I love this mod, it's very low profile and makes the camera much more compatible in the cine world.

It would be useful if this Arri 3-pin could connect to Red's 4-pin for remote on/off control.

Take the power from the battery to get around the 1 Amp limitation of Red's port, but connect the on/off pins for remote control.

Haha! Great - I just thought about doing something like this myself, but reconsidered because I figured I'd loose my warranty on the plate for the RED exchange program ;-)
