Congrats to you and your team, I will ad it to my list. Looks interesting, you guys really did a great job for only 12k. Best of luck.

Where the explosions done in post? It looks like the gunfire was.

What about the van crash? Can you share some info on how that was done and what the cost was?

HAHA the trailer made me laugh very hard! Major cudos to you guys! It looks very funny. I gotta see this.

BTW, doesn't Red's body cost more than $12k :)

Interception

Hey Guys, thanks for responding and all the support!!

All explosions were practical and life size, except the one on the suspension bridge which was still real but on a 40 ft concrete scale model we built on a farm in Kentucky (our home state). It took us a month to construct the model and about 30 explosions to get it right, it's an exact scale model of the bridge in Savannah, GA :) Check out how we did it on the website www.interceptionmovie.com, it explains it more in depth!

The van wreck was real, we just bought a van, locked the steering, put in some dummies and threw a concrete block on the gas pedal. very dangerous, wouldn't suggest it.

We shot this movie on 16mm and the DVX100, which was the best affordable digital camera when we started funny enough. All action sequences were shot on 16mm for better motion capture. We used one bolex and two K3's we got from Russia for like $200 a pop. If only we had the RED back then:)

My brother Turner, our friend Bobby, and myself were the entire crew so we really appreciate the support! We never thought we would land distribution so this is huge for us and we thank you.

Thanks again for the support and feel free to ask any more questions:)

one more thing.

one more thing.

i forgot to answer a couple of questions, the explosions were all accomplished with stuff we custom built so the cost was minimal. Van was a few hundred dollars, we found it online. When we were finished with it we scrapped the metal for almost what we paid for it:)

yea dude, some of that footage was shot with a behind the scenes camera, not the red:)

We used 16mm and the dvx for the film...
