RED camera in florida

I am in the market for a RED, but being a novice independent filmmaker, with only one documentary under my belt, I am hoping some kind soul would allow me to drop by and just see their RED. I don't even need to use it, I just would like to watch someone use it. I just can't justify spending the money without at least seeing the mysterious RED.

I'll go anywhere in Florida really, though I'm based in northern Florida, Gainesville specifically. I have family in Hollywood, though, near Miami and Ft. Lauderdale, so just let me know if I can come by, and I will make the drive...

I'd be happy to help out in any way I can, and hopefully learn a bit about the RED in the mean time. What's the nature of the shoot?

Hi benji and welcome to this forum. I'm benjie too! I had the pleasure of meeting up with Gaston almost a year ago in Miami while I was down there. I have to tell you that the Red One is AMAZING to see in action. Gaston even burned the files for me to play around with after we were done. I highly recommend going down there to check it out before you buy but I highly doubt you'll change your mind after seeing it. My dilemma is pretty much the same but then Red threw a wrench in my plans when they went and announced the new Epic and Scarlet models late last year. So now I wait knowing I could potentially have a better camera, more FPS at 5K!!! But the stressful waiting process that I sat through with the Red One getting here starts all over again and I'm not one of the guys on these forums who can just so easily buy a Red One now and upgrade at $10K later, know what I mean? Anyway, hope you get to check it out. If not, look up Gaston in Miami.
