Finally an answer to a hood for the onboard LCD. I'm proud to say that I've got the first one off the production line and it's awesome.

I recommend every Red Camera owner/user have this in their kit. It's the best.

Well, it looks pretty good. I just ordered it, so I guess I'll find out soon enough.

Absolutely ridiculous. 60 bucks for some offshore import????? If it's made in the USA or Canada, I'll buy one. Other than that, Hoodman can stick it. The hell I'm going to sit here and
buy some company out of economic trouble instead of working people on
this continent.

I think buisiness is hard every where right now. You might look to see where Red is made ! Personaly I think Red is a great product using international skills and suppliers. My guess is Hoodman are too, Ill buy one.

I know where Red is made. Can't say that I'm thrilled about it either. The idea that America and Canada once survived and prospered with products that were made on this continent seems to be a forgotten one. The only difference back then was that the stock market wasn't king.
But my point was specifically in relation to this Hoodman collection of thread and canvas, that costs less than a buck to make, and then costs 60 bucks in the store.

I think your loyalty to your fellow countryman is commendable, and your right, heaven only knows what the stock market is doing or why these days its thought playing with others money is better than making goods, growing food and doing real work (with complete respect to finance workers). I agree about the asking price but I guess that's what these things sell for ? Ill still buy one myself anyway.
