When working with film there's always the budget issues and I was thinking that, if owning a Scarlet S35 brain and it's accessories together with a Canon EOS mount, I might want to change it to a PL mount when a time comes to shoot something with a little higher budget.
And after that change it back to the Canon EOS mount for smaller projects.

Would it be possible to buy a Scarlet S35 brain with two mounts; one PL and one Canon EOS and switch between them based on the budget of a production?

Well, the mounts are interchangable. But, looking at the pictures, it appears that the sensor would be extremely exposed while changing them, so you will need a very clean environment or else you will probably get lots of dust on the sensor. So yes, but be careful.

On the other hand you could get a P+S Tecknik Interchangeable Mount System which would allow you to quickly change between PL and EF mount lenses without opening up the body of the camera. Since they made one available for the RED One, I am assuming they will do the same for the Scarlet and Epic.

I believe EPIC and SCARLET will both have IMS technology.
Easy Mount swapping..

And BTW.. sensor will never be exposed!!

Only the filter in front of the sensor will be exposed.

Does anybody know if "Mounts include power and intelligent lens data interfaces" means you will be able to control aperture and auto-focus on canon EF lens?

Since Red is making their own AF lenses I would assume the capability is all there, it's just a question of whether it'll play nice with Canon EF tech.
