Finally I got to take some photos. This is what I have managed to squeeze into the Pelican 1510 "Carry-On" case. It is a basic kit and surely is missing a few things, but in a emergency You can actually film with this. I also have the Red-Drive mount (U-Grip), 3 more batteries and the lenses in the laptop briefcase, that goes also onboard. The only thing checked in is the charger and tripod with head and base-plate. It looks loose but it is really solid and secured. This case belongs to Ketch and I will be getting the carry-on equivalent from STORM. There is surprisingly more then enough place in the lid to fit a 17" Macbook Pro with power supply, mouse, small external HDD (2.5") and few other bits and pieces. I will post final images when I am done...
This is what fits inside:
- Red One (of course) with Birger Mount
- 2x top-mount, 2x 12" rails, top handle & extension
- Red LCD and the long arm
- 1 RED Brick battery & battery mount with 6' power cable
- 1 Red-Drive
- 2 universal mounts
- LCD & Drive cables
- CF reader & FW cable
- Pelican CF case with 4 CF cards
- Origo with "telephone" cable
- basic tools & bolts
The in my laptop bag I have additional:
- 3x RED Brick batteries
- RED Drive mount (U-Grip)
- Canon lenses
- 17" Mac with 3TB external HDD
- 8"x6" Wacom
- few other accessories
- and ASC's AMERICAN CINEMATOGRAPHER MANUAL (9th Edition)
As I said before the quad-charger (IDX-VL-4S) and tripod goes in the checkin luggage...
Here are some pics:
Let me know what You think...
