Hello everyone,

First of all hey to everyone at Reduser!

My first question is: The Cinema Scarlet is listed as being released (est.) in Summer/Fall 2009. Is there an exact month, or is it too early to tell? Is there a possibility it could be released SOONER than expected? Us Scarlet fanatics have been waiting awhile!

Secondly, will there be an adapter that can be purchased for the Scarlet which allows XLR input? I noticed something about mini-XLR, but I have a Sennheiser MKH-416 with standard XLR.

Finally, please tell me RED files from the Scarlet will be compatible with Sony Vegas editing software!!! I have Vegas Pro 8.

Thanks everyone!

Tyler

Honestly I wouldn't keep my breath for anything "Sony" to support anything "RED" for the next couple of years. But, then again, that's just me...

Then RED is exclusively Final Cut Pro, Adobe, and Avid? Shame. Vegas has been left in the dust in the past, as far as video editing is concerned; but recently, with the newest version, it seems to be making a name for itself. We can only wait I suppose...

Vegas seems to be an excellent program, but Sony doesn't seem to like RED too much.

I think this will change, though. Just not right now.

Sony pro-software division probably thinks differently to Sony cameras division. It's in their interest to support R3D.
