Just got my red, I`m amazed with this camera is bigger and heavier than I tought, the red drive is pretty light tough in compensation.

Mounting of all the accesories was pretty intutive, even changing from the Pl mount to Nikon mount before watching the RED oficial video (needs an update by the ways with the I-pins cable).

The only mounting problem that I had, and I hope someone can help my out, is with the RED HANDLE, when I tighten the wingnut it gets to a point when it gets stuck with the rod holder, so I cant tighten it up, any ideas?

Will get the camera today for a test drive, Will post pictures or footage when posible.

the wingnuts ratchet. just pull them up at the top.

don't worry - plenty before you have asked the same question.

Ok, just fixed it.

I dissarmed the wingnut (didnt know it was posible), then tighten the bolt and then screw the bolt back. RED HANDLE tight as it should be!!

Thanks cam crowley!!! At firsth I tried it but tought that I could break the wingnut, but since I ordered a extra wingut pack, I tought what tha heck, just try it, and it turned alright!!!

First Red Footage

First Red Footage

Ok, Its not pretty oficial yet, I was playing around today with my camera, havent have a tripod yet, nor descent glass. I used a DX lens "pinned" to full aperture with a piece of paper stucked in.

Basicaly it is just a quick test for color correction and rotoscoping with red footage.

The clip is in vimeo.
