Red One Tripod

Red One Tripod

Hey Jacob,

I found this tripod from Fluid Head Tripod, it has a fluid head, a load capacity of 55Lbs and a counterbalance of 22Lbs. My Red One is fully loaded, and everything fits perfectly. The best part comes when you check out, this tripod is on sale at $2,949.00 and they also give you free shipping... I couldn't find a best tripod and after days of searching the web I must say that this is the least expensive tripod available on the market. Beside that, it comes with a soft case, a spreader and has a level built in. I'm sure you'll agree with me, at that price you don't need to go for a used tripod.

Go on http://www.fluidheadtripod.com/product-p/fhtcarb0771.htm , I'm sure you'll find it.

Good Luck.

Yoni

Yoni,

I have to say, along with the picture of that tripod holding a RED camera, that your first post and the way it's worded, seems a bit "spammy" to me.

As for thoughts on the tripod, I can't say for sure without seeing it with my own eyes. But I personally wouldn't throw $3K at some no-name, cheap knock-off tripod, which this most likely is. I'd go for a Bogen 526 head with a decent set of sticks for a < $2K tripod. It's not great, but it does work and at least I know the warranty is worth more than the paper its printed on, etc..

Finally a great tripod for red one at a groundbreaking price

Finally a great tripod for red one at a groundbreaking price

I know it sounds to good to be true. We are also red one owners. And we could not find a decent tripod for a decent price. Until we found this line of tripods, we have now an exclusive distribution agreement with the manufacturer and built the website www.fluidheadtripod.com and also www.tripodmart.com, and decided to diversify and distribute this great line of tripods sets.
I can email you a video that we took when the red one was assembled and mounted with full accessories on this tripod. You will decide by yourself. Our company produces DVDs and programs and we use our red on this tripod....and it is really great....Again, I know it is too good to be true, but it is true....like the red was too good to be true when announced....remember? You have a 15 days full return policy. If you provide me with your email I will send you a video that we did with the red one with full accessories on the tripod. We will post a full video soon on the web for the non believers.

We have some used gear for sale on our website.

I have a Libec head and sticks for sale. PM if interested as I have just upgraded to some new gear on this. Atatched is a picture of the camera on the libec head and sticks. And no the dolly spreader wells do not go with it. These are quality sticks and fluid head at a good price.

FHT0771 Tripod for red one camera

FHT0771 Tripod for red one camera

We are using as red users too the FHT0771 that we are now distributing exclusively www.fluidheadtripod.com.
More and more red camera and other heavy camera users found this tripod a great alternative to other expensive brands. And we are glad to bring red camera users an affordable heavy duty tripod.

Great tripod at great price.. we are ordering 4 when they get more in stock. They can't keep them in inventory.

Jeff's right. I got this with sticks for US$1600 from Amazon and it works really with the RED. No one is pretending it's an O'Connor, but it's solid, smooth and steady. Works great for my needs.

Can also be a good stop gap while deciding on a high end tripod. That's what I did, but in the end I never upgraded!

Yoni,
I'd go for a Bogen 526 head with a decent set of sticks for a < $2K tripod. It's not great, but it does work and at least I know the warranty is worth more than the paper its printed on, etc..

Why not look for a used O'connor 50 fluid head. I own one and it is pretty much perfect for your camera.
I might be persuaded to sell mine...let me know if you are interested.
