Birger Mount - Is it real... yet.

[Joe Taylor]

I've tried slogging through the thousands upon thousands of post in the other thread about the Birger. I told myself a year ago that I would quite reading when that thread delved into casting calls... that finally happened yesterday.

Okay, is the Birger for real. It seems like a few will ship before everything grinds to a halt and new problems and promises arise.

I talked to a guy ever at Birger in Nov. and he told me, in a very vague and roundabout way, that he was on his way to Boston, that I might be able to download a order form next week, Monday maybe, and they would ship by Christmas. That was over a month ago and it still sounds like not much is happening.

birger.com doesn't tell you a thing. Is that really their website?? Who designed that site, Stephen Glass?

Why post essentially the same question twice - especially since you have already gotten an answer on the first post?

Anyway, getting Birger information is a pain. No, they are not shipping currently, but might resume next week. Currently there is some warranty trouble.

My other topic asked where to find good info. This one is about if they are indeed shipping. Much, much different.

Your answers are very helpful, though.

is it real yet ??

i have one and i have to ask the same question !!
had it for few months ... haven't used it ... i hear it needs a upgrade ( or something & why is it taking sooooooooooo long ?? ) for back focus .... now i hear only Birger can install it or a certified tech ...
so "OFFICIALLY" it seems they are currently not usable & they are shipping = got me on that combination....
