  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Red wont boot - blinking lcd?

Help,

I have shoot coming up in 3days - now suddenly my Red wont start up. The back lcd screen blinks.

tried 3 batteries and power cable directly to charger.

build 16 preinstalled by RED.

any suggestions?

try turning it on without the LCD attached or try using a battery instead of power adapter- or vice versa. The only other thing I can think of is the power discharge.
 
Remember reading somwhere, there is a button combination to force camera in to debugg mode. ..but ask red support before doing anything I guess :)
 
Try different power sources. Try battery, try cable from charger to cam. See if some pins are not bent or damage in power lemo connector.
 
I think that is what it is called.
Better to wait for RED to explain what to do.
I tried looking for the thread when Jarred talked about it, but couldn,t find it.
It involves unplugging all power and pressing the power button about 10 times.
As I said, better to wait for RED to explain it, they,ll take care of it.
