  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Raincover and Cooler Finished

I had the raincover at Cine Gear in the Element Technica booth for people to see. I'm making a few minor changes, but the first 100 should be ready for shipping in 5-6 weeks. The cooling pouch is probably on the same timeline, maybe a bit longer.

How much will they go for, and where can we order from?
Thanks.

You will be able to order it online. Price will be posted next week.

I do have some more info. The cover will be approximately $250 and will be available from www.elementtechnica.com in about 4-5 weeks.

The features:

-Key seams are welded instead of sewn for strength and water resistance.
-Multiple access points for LCD
-Works with Element EVF mount
-Works with the ET hard drive shock mount and allows access for changing drives.
-Will work with primes and zooms of any length.
-Tripod and handheld no problem.
-Works with ET handheld rig.
-Clasps on the bottom to keep wind from blowing it around.
-Clear windows for everything you need to see.
-operator acccess for menus and run/stop
-AC access for follow focus on both sides of the camera.

I will let everyone know as the availability date gets closer or if anything changes.

Hi Chris,

A few questions.

It only says multiple access points for LCD and the picture also shows no cover for the LCD.

Will it have a cover for the LCD's (both the 5.6 and the 7") and will it have cover for the EVF?

Will there be enough space to have any other solution then ET's on the top in the back? When it comes to drive and battery holders, such as the RED cradle? Or any other?

The picture shown is the alpha prototype. I made a beta that was at Cine Gear and now its going into production. Yes the LCD and EVF will have their own covers.

What I meant by multiple access points is that you can mount the arm through the cover in multiple places.

Yes you could use the cradle and red's battery plate as well as Element's battery plate and top mount, or the new ET battery plate with speedy clamp (same mounting interface as the hard drive shock mount).

Will definitely need one if it's ready to be sell
