Hi all, just to let you know I just received my new On-Off remote and power box with voltage meter from Crampedattic in Vancouver.

•On off Remote (pict 1)is not as shiny as the Monstercine, but does the exact same thing with same quality (neutrik, mogami, lemo parts).
Price point is why I went for the "North Hollywood" one: For 300$US, I got two connecting cables (XLR-Lemo 4 pins): one 4 feet and one 2 feet + 30 feet extension (XLR to XLR) (see picture). The LED inside the button is not very bright but still does the job perfectly.

•The power box (pict 2-3)I needed for all my 12v accessories like Preston, Bartech, Panasonic monitors....and since I use all sorts of batteries (block for studio use, AB bricks...) I wanted a voltage meter.
This box has 3 (three) 12 volts xlr 4 plugs at the back, 1 RED power input (lemo 6) and 1 RED power output (lemo 6) and one voltage meter built in.
It comes with a jumper cable (lemo 6 both ends).

I just have to plug the jumper from the box to the RED camera pwr in.
Then any battery configuration goes thru the box.
It allows me to have a voltage reading at any given time and power the aks directly from the batteries instead of the camera.

This box (with jumper cable) is not cheap (750$) but having a universal voltage meter and a 12 volts splitter box all in one makes it worth it IMHO.

For any special requests or if you want your own configuration of RED aks , talk to DAVID at http://www.crampedattic.com
He knows his stuff, has access to a RED camera to test anything that goes out of his place and has great service and quick turnaround.

what are your mounting solutions for the PowerBox
is it a Velcro solution or is there a bracket ?
do you also include the short 6-6pin lemo patch cable?

thanks

Velcro is my only friend with these boxes. You could probably attach a bracket easily by opening the door (4 screws) and drilling whatever bracket you would choose like a manfrotto .
Yes, the jumper cable is included and they will offer the length you want for that cable.
But this box was custom made and I asked for the jumper.
I am not affiliated with crampedattic, just a satisfied customer. Write to David directly for any kind of mods you would like. Box would be much cheaper without the voltmeter and with a straight cable from the box to the camera (those lemo plugs are like 55$ each....)

Cheers!

Cool thank you, ive seen one around before, but that one was made with smaller lemo connectors instead of 4-pin xlr.
looks sweet.

With this voltage box are you able to give power to the camera with a 12V Battery in order to change RED Batteries without turning the camera off?
