about 5 months ago I sent the camera for service because it would freeze/reboot everytime I tried to playback something recorded in redraid. The sata interface was replaced, the problem dissapeared for 2 months and came back. I just finished a feature film and I must tell you, shooting digital and not being able to review the shot on location is a big drawback. I'm about to send the camera back to the states(which due to Greece's export laws costs me money even though its for service purposes) and I wonder if this time the fix will be permanent. This combined with the EVF being crap(mine at least), the battery plates and charger failing, the camera not booting every now and then, the red software being in beta stage forever, makes me wonder. Why should I be excited with the recent news about new camera releases etc?
Dont get me wrong, the camera shoots wonderful pictures and is a joy compared to any other digital camera Ive used, but my advice is, first fix everything related to your first camera, the one that got everything started and then move to the next ones.
