Hi,
Please assume my complete ignorance in any replies you may give to this thread.
We are using Redcine to create 1080 25 PsF Quicktimes in Avid DNxHD codec, which we are then importing using an ALE into a PAL 16:9 project.
We have just installed the new 1.10 Avid Codec pack, which has resolved our garbled quicktime outputs.
My clients are now questioning the exposure of the footage, as a lot of it seems to be burnt out. I know that Redcine is doing a conversion from Log to Linear, and the settings are:
Colourspace: Redspace
Gamma: Redspace
Number: 2.2
How can I find out if this conversion is correct? I'm hoping to speak to the technician from the shoot in Canada, but I have to wait until he wakes up.
If any one could give me there advice or experience, I would be eternally grateful.
Thanks,
Gareth
