  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Build 17 Audio Playback error?

We have updated our Red One Camera to Build 17 yesterday and started our shoot of feature film from today. When we try to playback clip recorded with audio we have Audio Playback error.

Is anyone having the same problem. Would like to know the solution for the audio playback error from Red team.

I dont find answer anywhere and hence this question.

Is there an solution available yet for playback on Build 17 without audio playback error or not?

If you can send me a P.M please describing what's happening exactly, and also can you retrieve the camera LOG file we can see what's going on..

We are planning to move to Build 16. Please reply as early as possible?

We had the same problem on a shoot this morning. Answers or a link to the appropriate thread would be much appreciated.
 
I just upgraded to build 17 and am seeing the same problem. We have the new audio board and are recording audio with a phantom powered mic.
 
Got this one myself on a shoot this weekend. Build 17, fresh from the support site. No phantom power. Old audio board. 4k 16:9 25fps RC36.

Did some forum-searching, but haven't found a Build 17 specific answer yet (other than, "Solution: upgrade to Build 17.") This thread seems to be the most recent, so I'm posting here to subscribe. Anyone have relevant thread links I may have missed?
 
I have the same "audio-fault" with green screen when I try to playback a file with audio. I had it under firmware 16 too, and i did not see any thread in Reduser providing any solution. I just hope changing the audio board will make this disappear.

Had this problem on our shoot today. Green screen with audio error message. We discovered that going back a few clips and playing one successfully will sometimes allow you to playback the latest clip cleanly. Almost like it had to readdress the file in order to play it. We are using the latest release build of 17.

Frustrating to our clients though.
