Hi.

I checked, and I am up to speed on all software/codec versions.

But I am already failing at the ingestion stage in log&transfer. The window simply will not display anything I drag into it. Nada.

What could I be doing wrong? (Yes, my computer IS turned on :-) )

Any thoughts?

Thanks. Tobias

If this were the case... how would you undo this? I just tried reinstalling the FCP Plug In 1.0, but still not look ingesting....

...and it won't ingest on my MBP either. Footage problems??? B17 Footage. Multipart Clips.

Nada. I trashed the RED components incl. the RedQT Codec. Preferences.

...and then I reinstalled the RED Final Cut Studio Installer.

Still nothing... help? This problem is completely unsexy. If at least my system were crashing in style due to huge data streams, etc. But just no response...

hmm.

Are you able to play proxies in quicktime outside and inside fcp? Check in color if you have the red tab in the primary in room.

Luca,

Yes, the proxies play back fine. Yes, the Red tab is in Color Primary...

Check if you folder with the r3d files has a valid structure.
Did you follow carefully this steps:

1. Mount the volumes that contain your archived RED media.

2. Open the Log and Transfer window, and choose Preferences from the Action pop-up menu (the menu with the gear icon).

3. When the Import Preferences sheet appears, choose Native from the “Transcode to” column corresponding to the RED Digital Cinema REDCODE item of the list.

Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
But the L&T window will show me nothing at all. Even if I drag the folders in.

It may take awhile for the R3d files to apear.

On my system, the Red Plugin' was a November 2007 version, incredible when I updated it several time since then.
So you may want to double check every single component.

I removed all the components. Reinstalled them. The dates on the components incl. the RED Quicktime Codec now reflect current dates an versions.

As for the time it may take... I stopped looking after 5 Minutes.

Strangely enough (or I should say happily) it's now working on my MBP, where I have the same setup except for that I am running 10.5.5.

The order of installing makes perfect sense to me. But how would I correct this, other than removing the FCP Component and re-installing it?
