What is the name of these mini connectors (HD-SDI / Preview / Genlock) ?
The RED supplied lead says BNC to 'DIN' converter ... but WHAT DIN is it ? Can anybody refer me to a supplier of connectors that will fit ?

Is it really a : DIN 1.0/2.3 ? if somebody could confirm, that would be most appreciated.

Thanks

The connector is a 1.0/2.3

I have made a few adapter cables for the Red already, you need a crimp tool and cutter,(stripper).

About DIN:

I could not find any track on a Deutsche Industrie Norm for this device. Its also stated that 1.0 / 2.3 should be a european design, but for whatever reason: According to Amphenol reps I've been told that these are not at all produced in Europe, nor is there any reference to DIN or Europe for them.

If I want some here in Germany, Amphenol local reseller must order from an US reseller to get them. Maybe that DIN comment thing is simply wrong? I have no idea...

Anyhow, Amphenol is the way to go...

And here a good link to suppliers:

Many many thanks ...

This pdf is very useful - but note that the various crimping tools range from quite to very expensive which negates any cost advantage of making your own cables.

It might be possible to improvise with cheaper hex crimp tools.

Note that there are 50 ohm versions, but need 75ohm ones for HD-SDI.

Breakout boxes with solder connections seem the way to go for DIY though!
