While I know everyone is gaga over Epic and Scarlet, I can tell you personally that I am not making one RED cent (Pun intended) on either of these things.

My RED One however, is doing a fine job of paying some bills. That said, there are still some issues outstanding with RED that are... Obvious. I'd like to see them dealt with within the next 12 weeks if possible:

1: Sound support in the SDK (Frankly I'm shocked this has gone on this long)
2: RAW access in the SDK
3: An overhaul and upgrade of REDCine
4: Release of the RED Prime set

Of course the Adobe plugin should be on the list, but I am confident that is being worked on as we speak.

Because of these three things, RED strongest point is not post. I am not saying there are no post solutions. I am simply saying that they could be much better. We were promised audio and RAW access in the SDK quite some time ago, and I am hopeful this will be engaged in the near future. This will increase both the speed and usability of the SDK for third party vendors. History has shown that the more freedom the vendors are given, the better options we have in terms of working with RED.

Finally.. I have been dying for the RED prime set for god knows how long.. I sure hope to see them soon.

Thanks for reading

5. update www.red.com/myaccount to a system that displays estimated shipping date and status of backordered items. No more guessing and emailing the bombsquad, about when item xyz will arrive. Jon Sagud's post is not reflecting the actual status.
6. display an estimate on backordered items, before purchase. "Soon" seems to mean anything between 1 day and 10 months.

Totally agree with Jay. Post needs the most work.

Little things would be nice too - like being able to double click a .R3D file or Quicktime proxy in Windows and quickly see what the damn thing looks like. How can this be so hard? To me this would be a sample program that you'd make to check that the SDK worked.

I agree with Marc and Bruce, but if it's alright I'd like to keep this thread confined to things that should already be here, not new things we've yet to hear about.

Screw the Prime Set, I just want the 50-150 zoom I ordered and paid for months and months ago.
Completing all the Camera orders is one thing, but completing all backordered accessories seems to be a bigger challenge and one that needs to be top priority.
