I'm hoping someone may have some info to throw my way on this one. I'm on set and our script supervisor noticed a doubling of TC over the duration of a few clips. See attached pic.

Is this because of shooting at 120fps? Does the camera associate an identifier to each frame, based on the time of day at the start of the clip and expanding based on the frame conversion, thus repeating TC when shooting in rapid sequence.

Yes, it has to do with the fact that you're shooting at 120fps.
TC will advance 5x faster than realtime, so if there is only a short time between 2 takes, you will get overlapping TC in TOD timecode.

Solution :
- wait a bit longer between each take
- and/or use Edgecode instead of TOD timecode (don't worry, both are always recorded, but you can choose in the camera menus which one you want to display during you shoot). Edgecode won't have this issue, it will continue were it stopped.

Anyway, tell the editor to use the Edgecode, and everything should be ok. Otherwise they may have surprises when conforming...

Nils, have not tried yet. Will it be the same if you are using TC from an external master. Lim
