ProductionApp Press Release 27-11-08

'Irish Digital Lab Develops Production Software'

www.theproductionapp.com

At the Digital Media Cube, a hub for incubating high-tech start-ups, a web based tool is being developed specifically for the Production industry.

This highly innovative tool, currently codenamed 'ProductionApp', eases the pain of managing and communicating production information. The application will allow users to save time and money through increased efficiency. ProductionApp will streamline the creation of unit lists, call sheets, movement orders and more. ProductionApp will be provided using SaaS (Software as a Service), a highly innovative business model. This means a low cost of ownership for the user coupled with continual ongoing updates to the product in line with user feedback. This means that users will always be on the latest version and ProductionApp will always grow in accordance with feedback from the entire user base.

ProductionApp will offer a free plan to its users for core features and will charge a small monthly fee for its premium package. The project is a collaboration between Warrior Films and Web Splash. These two highly innovative companies were selected to participate in the state sponsored CREATE program run by the Institute of Art, Design and Technology (IADT) where ProductionApp is currently being developed.

Managing productions in the cloud is 100% in our near future. Just a matter of who does it right. I just signed up for this beta - and if it's any good - I will TORTURE them with feedback and ideas - as this is something I very, very, very much want yesterday.

Same here.

I just signed up for the beta....Great idea!

We have tied many programs together to accomplish this task, mostly Excel spread sheets.

One of my more intricate Excel spread sheets is still used by the NFL for each Super Bowl. It's a way to manage and bill clients for the Massive amount of cable needed each year for the international Broadcasters.
