Darken outside of frame guides?

I'd like to darken the outside of my 2.40 frame guides, similar to the look around area.

Anyway to do this now? plans for a future build?

I hope so, it's an oft requested feature currently worked around by putting tape or ND on the LCD to physically mask the area.

I figure the next build will expand on the custom guides part with this functionality.... seems a logical progression.

yeah that is essential.. i have been using gaffer's tape so far. it would be great to blacken out the unwanted aspect ratios.

what would also be great is; if say for example you are shooting 16:9 the 2:1 area to 16:9 is blackened.. BUT you can keep the 4:3 guides on top of the 16:9 aspect ratio image.

Also at 16:9 4K the 4:3 frame guide doesn't use 100% or the available frame area vertically.... small bug.
