timecode errors in avid

after importing QuickTime reference files made by red rushes the clips in avid jump midway through to a much later timecode. The image is uneffected but the timecode is wrong and it won't play in avid. Only a few shots are effected. In rescind the code seems fine. We are using an amber lockit box to generate time if day code which is jammed 2 times a day. We are day 10of the shoot and have not had this problem before

FYI others
It seems this is an intermittent problem with QT references generated from redrushes. When importing the QT reference files made by the red camera in its RDC folder it was fine.Also Upon recreation of the QT reference by Redrushes they imported fine.

turns out this may not be the problem. after installing codecs again and a restart it went away for a while but came back again. the fix that works now is rebooting and then recreating the ale and QT wrappers again from redrushes. it is happening almost every day, has anyone else had this problem?
