Hey guys, got a used Spectra Cine Professional IV-A light meter off of DVXUser and had a quick question about setting the shutter speed on it. I know how to set the ISO and FPS, but I can't figure out how to set the freakin' shutter speed (important since I like to shoot high speed footage.)

Also, when using ND, do you all normally just calculate the filter's stop rating by memory? It seems like I saw some meter that you could enter the amount of ND you had on camera to get an f-stop without having to figure it in your head (though, that's good to keep the brain young right? plus we have monitors & false color to keep us from totally screwing up!)

for shutter speeds - once you pass 360 fps it will go into time ( shutter speeds) ... or you go the other way and once you pass 1fps it will go into time ...

haven't seen ND( filter) compensation on it .. have seen it on some Gossen meters ..

i believe the meter uses 180 degree shutter in FPS as the meter default setting ... so you would use 60fps ( and it uses the default= 180 degree) ...
i haven't seen a way for the meter to give you both FPS & time ...
24fps is 1/48th, so brain power is the method i use from there ..
i believe there is a chart in the American Cinematograhpers manual that shows you the different times for different FPS ( again defaults to 180) ..other charts can be found on internet ...

i think the sekonic cine meter you can dial in different shutter angles, speeds combinations with fps ???
