hi
i´m planing to go for scarlet s35 or ff35 with a super16 lens. i will use this lens, mainly, for social-humans documentary works.
with a 35mm lens, normal wide open shots are from 14mm to 22mm, more or less (correct me if i´m worng, please)
wich is the s16mm equivalent lens to work with in 2k or 3kmode? 12mm? 8mm?

thanks
regards

césar

ps. for example, this lens Zeiss Vario Sonnar T2.4 12-120mm

Just divide the 35mm focal length by two. Not exact, but very close.

so

so

thanks jorge for answering...
so, if you want a good wide shot, on 2k, with a s16mm lens, you have to start at 8 or 9mm and for a normal wide shot 12-14mm?
i suppose that is the same thing in windowed or cropped mode.. yes?

for example

for example

i´m thinking in a Canon 8-64mm T2.4 for wide and handheld shots, and Angenieux 15-300mm T6 (and a 2x extender) for the rest

what do you think about this set? (this is not a "brand" question, it´s a focal lenght question regarding wide lens shot with s16mm zoom lens... i mean, for me, now, canon or angeniux or whatever is not important)

i´m looking this configuration for budgeting, for focus issues (i work alone with the camera... ) and because I don´t need 4k yet... 2k and even 1080p is enough for me.

regards and excuse my english :detective2:

The Canon is a great lens for this and it was the wide zoom of choice for doc work for more than a decade. The Angenieux is not a very good lens and frankly that's way more of a range than you really need. Something like a Canon 11-165 would be a better choice.
