Hey Red,

Since you're giving me the option trading my R1 for an Epic...

Can you give us the option of trading in our R1 for a decked out Scarlet?

Also, what current Red One accessories will NOT go well with the new Epic / Scarlets.

The only accessories I can think of that are not compatible are:

CF Module
Top Mount
Custom lens mounts (Nikon, Canon, etc.)

Everything else works...

Jim,

Dumb question but I'm assuming all the new camera optical centres/axis are the same as RedOne and all the old mounts will work.
Or is this why you have the RedRiser?

Jim, I know that you're tired and probably frustrated, but even this little bit of solid information is great news. That means the V-mount works fine, The RED Drive (big BIG BIG BIG DEAL) and a host of other existing accessories that I love about the RED.

Perhaps a mini "Cage" setup can be employed as well. This isn't me "guessing", just being optimistic about the last camera I may "purchase" for a good decade.

Hmmmm, maybe it would be equatable to the Epic trade in if you passed a certain threshold? Like if you ordered a $12,000 Scarlet and more than $35,000 in accessories? Other than that you are asking too much dude.

You can use all Arri compatible bottom plates, including the RED ONE from RED, with a simple and inexpensive adapter plate. We hope to sell one for well under $200.
