  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Thanks, Jim

Just cutting through all the noise, I want to say thank you.

Oh, and if all your hard work has left you without friends...

...we can all befriend you.

Yep, it works. Either I run a simulated mac (with 24 cpus) and do the processing there. When the REDline tool and SDK is for linux, I can easily run processing of any file at 5-10 times the fastest mac. (at about 1/3 price) To increase the speed, I just add more nodes - no limits :) If I add 1000 nodes I get a a processing speed of a mac with 4000 cpus :)

Wow!

Janne, maybe you could start a new thread explaining for some lesser technical people how to go about it. I would have no problems putting together a server as described on your website, but I would have absolutely no clue as to how to go about making it a simulated mac, or how to tell RedCine/RedAlert or RedWhatever to actually harness that processing power.
