  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Ergonomics - A new hope

Both of those configurations are way to front heavy Kino. But you're right there is hope. The combination of an Epic 5K S35 Brain, I/O module and one or more battery option plus a properly mounted shoulder assembly and side mounted wireless remote look to be right at the balance point Brook and I were trying to convey. All in all it's a very exciting announcement. What would be really exciting is if Red announced a spacer that let you customize the distance between modules allowing you to maximize the weight distribution, say by moving the I/O+Battery module behind the shoulder pad.
This image is the closest...

Just imagine the I/O+battery behind the shoulder pad and the pad lower.
It would be a simple accessory too, just a shielded cable and an adjustable rail.

Wow exciting times...

Would you want to use these connectors in an average configuration ? they seem to be in a bad place for hand-held....

I think it's (Left to right):
- New style Power connector
- GPI / GPO
- Single link HD-SDI

So without th IO and battery module you do want to have a connector there...
