Hi!
I am in the process of buying an used RED One and have a few questions left.
I browsed a lot in these forums recently and would like to thank everybody who is sharing their knowledge and experience on such a young project like that camera.
As far as I got to know from several threads after receiving the second hand camera one can send it to RED and have it evaluated, freshened up and then having a 90 day warranty on it for 500 USD.
Now what still wonders me is:
1. Can I use this process to transfer the ownership as well? Like registration name, e-mail address the updates are sent to, number in the reservation list perhaps for EPIC?
2. Can I send it in when my number comes up in the upgrade programme (sound board etc.) and have it evaluated for warranty after that immediately and thus the ownership (as far as it goes regarding 1.) transferred? I just want to avoid shipping the camera twice.
3. Is the process of transferring ownership (the 90 days warranty thing) possible at the UK facilities of RED as soon as it's completely up and running? Shipping from central Europe, where I'm based, would me so much easier than overseas.
Hope that someone can clear me up on these points.
I am happy that I am going to join the RED family in a few day.
Regards from Vienna, Xax
