  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

is reduser a big ad ?

Calm down. There's a big difference to a guy from a film school posting on here and someone trying to sell phones or watches on here. You could make the argument that people showing their work on here is a form of advertisement, which it is. But the idea is to have a community where people can find help in anything Red related. If you want to sell stuff you could have a banner on the site, which I'm sure would be looked at quiet a bit.

BTW, Jarred has been at this for a while now so I think he knows how to run the site.

There are advertising and sponsorship policies in place here on reduser. So far this International film school guy hasn't broken any rules and has only promoted himself in one post that says his school is getting a RED. His avatar and profile do promote this school / business, but so do a lot of other people with their own avatars and profile pages.

We'll watch out for him, but IMO there are a lot bigger fish to fry at the moment. Lots of freeloaders in the Jobs & Equipment section who contribute nothing to this site and only show up to sell overpriced lens packages or other things.

Yeah, im seeing alot of these guys.... posting in threads trying to sell something the OP mentioned kinda in his thread
