  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

A taste...

I didn't know it was possible to be sick with anticipation until now...

what you are doing Jim made me in a real confusion.. lots of speculations made one could imagine anything better or worth.. its 14 days till we know anything.. but, my mind stopped imagining what kind of camera we are getting in the end.. its excitement and frustration at the same time.. I wish, you wish and Jim does what he wish... guys I'm laughing on my self writing this.. I lots of whishes just can't write them...

Well this seems to be exciting! After lurking around for the past couple of months I signed up. Hoping to beat the rush before the announcement.
I've been watching the various videos from the Canon 5dMark2. I'm really liking what I see for the price but the jury is still out. Because of Red. I'm pretty stoked to see what Red provides. C'mon Jim! I just hope I can afford it. I'm tired of trying to shoot with crappy lenses and tiny sensors. I've dreamed of this day for a few years know. Can't wait to see what comes of it.

That seems rather obvious, though, don't you think? Definitely SCARLET and EPIC are being collapsed in some way, the Smart Handle theory seems likely. But I am guessing that is just the tip of the iceberg, that's the jack in his hand, and there is at least a pair of aces in there somewhere.

But Jim already alluded to that, and he is very clear that we should be prepared for surprises and for that "scam" word to be kicked around -- I would be surprised that, with degree of excitement/hype, if all that he is doing is competing with new releases from Canon and Nikon by one-upping the existing paradigm, especially since he has already alluded to it.

I'm preparing to be blown away...

It is quite awesome indeed...

And in case anyone didn't know.. Jim isn't just posting these images.. he is creating them.

There is no "armchair CEO" action here, Jim is doing the work, dictating the design, making the renders, moving things around, moulding how everything will look in the end. He's the hardest working employee at RED.. and sleeps the least :)

A million hits?? thats a pretty f'en ballsy prediction. then again those brass ones have been earned.

Just don't ask me to polish them...
