Pro LCD - viewable outdoors?

I have read differing opinions on how bright an LCD has to be in order to be viewable outdoors - is the 7" Pro LCD (at 1000 nits, whatever the hell a nit is) bright enough?

Maybe that's the whole point of this option and I'm just now catching on.

I find the standard 5.6" LCD to work well enough outdoors so I'm sure the Pro LCD will do the trick.

Yes, very viewable. And from a greater degree of angle as well... great if you're working with a jib, steadicam, etc.

Yeah, the pro LCD is bad ass - and large...
