Here is my personal followfocus for use with nikon lenses. I got the Redrock because it was the best bang for the buck and it gets the job done. I was frustrated when using nikon lenses as the barrel on the nikon lens rotates "incorrectly" from almost every other lens, So I got my brain working and reversed the gearing on the follow focus. It performs just as well as before except now the gear is in the rear of the follow focus and it rotates correctly for nikon lenses. It also is reversible back to the original rotation in just a minute (note the quick thumb screws) The only issue with this is that I lost the first focus marker- which I didnt like anyways because it has a square registration point on it. I made a new one with a point for better marking focus. I also added white marking material around the top so you can see what your doing without being on the side of the camera.

I would hang onto this but Im thinking about picking up an FF-4 so I wont be needing this anymore.

Bottom line; if you use Nikon 35mm lenses (or zeiss ZF lenses) you need this follow focus- it will save your AC a headache! If your wondering why I took the stickers off its because I didnt like the sparking blue colors, it reminded me of Barbie toys or something (sorry Redrock!)

I am asking $550 for it. Send me a PM.

Thanks for looking and reading my ramble.

If you already have a redrock and you want to know how to reverse the gearing- send me a PM also and I will tell you how to do it.
