Music video with 120fps fire!!!!!!

[prime zero]

Here is a music video we did for a rap group from the bay area. It was mostly gorilla style run and gun with a very small budget. We used a set of zeiss superspeeds, and a 14mm zeiss lens. The Fire was dangerous but came out looking really cool!

Nice. I think the gorilla style makes it a bit video-ish at times but some great moments in there.

Well done.

Am I allowed to be disappointed that there were no giant apes in the music video? I was promised gorilla-style, dammit!

Were the flickering lights intentional? Or are we just seeing available / house lights with an overcranked camera. I'm assuming the latter...

the flickering was a forced decision. We had some cheap knock off kino flo lights that flickered when the shutter was turned up on the camera. I chose to live with the flickering instead of have motion blur on the slo mo shots. slo mo with lots of motion blur is always an ugly look to me.

Hehehe... :whistling:

Imagine the impact the word would have if applied to warfare... wouldn't this world be a better place.

*Just ask Soderbergh.

The fire did look cool. In that scene with the bad flicker it kind of looked like they were watching TV and the flicker was coming from that.
