  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Desired country of emigration

Andrew - tax free? - do you know something I don't!!?

Bhutan for me...

Mmmm, yep maybe not now with the GST lol . . . . but better than here on the mainland. I got hit by a £2700 VAT bill for my Red last week ouch.

I'm actually coming over the Jersey in March/April next year to film a short film using my Red over there - i have a few friends and access to a few locations on the island should be quite good - don't know what its going to be about though at the moment i'm still writing.

Andrew.

I've been lucky to travel all over the world (and not on my dime)! I've lived in England, the Middle East and the former USSR. I've also traveled in the Far East, Africa and South America. By far my favorite place was Chile...so much so that when I was covering the Plebecito back when Pinochet was ousted, I bought some property near La Serena, a 5 hour drive north of Santiago. I like it here in the US, but could definitely see a retirement in Chile. Great climate, great people, excellent food, extraordinary wine, mountains, ocean and the clearest skies in the world. I also do love Tuscany!

:) Me too. Tuscany is on my way, definitely. Rome, as well.

The Czech Republic. If any country knows what freedom is all about - they do. Gotta love their President, too.

Thailand. Nice weather? Check. Nice beaches? Check. Nice people? Check. Cheap? Check. Great food? Check. Pretty girls? CHECK!

I am happy right where I am in New York City.

Eric

Me too. I grew up in this city, and every time I stay away for more than 3 weeks, I feel smothered, dying to come back. It's so funny, I majored in French and Italian in college, and I've yet to visit Europe. My music career always got in the way, and I kept postponing that dream. I might go to Germany next summer so I can improve on my Deutsch...we'll see.
But, New York City is my muse, so I would never seriously consider taking up residence anywhere else.

I'm happy wherever I am, but still choose to explore new places as the opportunity arises. How can one know where "home" is if one stays put in one place? I personally enjoy roaming the world. And I know that someday, someplace, I'll feel like I've finally arrived "home." Right now, that place is exactly where I am. But still, I know full well that it could really be out there, someplace else, out yonder... and I've got to find it.

I'd love to travel, but I want to keep being a US citizen
