Where is your set located?

Sorry about butting in on this thread but do you know if to collimate Red's zoom lenses I need specific shims from Red or are they a standard item anywhere?

Hi Yort,

Is Century building an autocollimator these days? They have been offering a thru the lens projector but that's not the same thing as an autocollimator. It will not allow one to check the lens on a camera body be it film or video.

Call Clairmont camera, see if you can pay one of their techs on the side to come out.

LOL!!! "Works with RED" -

AFAIK, Clairmont does not "send out" their techs. They are expected to do their job at Clairmont during working hours and do side work after hours.

Troy, you didn't even tell us where you are located.

i did earlier in the thread, los angeles, california. more specifically, in the glenndale - hollywood border.

keslow camera has a technician that came in after hours to work on the cameras. thank goodness. yeah keslow!
