I am making my Preston single channel system available for rent. This is a great setup for pulling focus remotely for Steadicam or remote head particularly if you want to minimize the weight load as the motor driver is lighter than the three channel FIZ system. It can be used for either focus or iris.

Preston's technology remains the industry standard for reliability, strength and accuracy. It's bulletproof and gets the job done with no fuss.

Basic package includes:

F/I hand unit
V&F Lens Control (receiver and motor driver)
(1) DM1 motor with PAM rosette and arm (request either 15mm or 19mm)
Gear set (32, 48, 64 pitch; .5 and .6M)
6 rings
Power and run cables (including RED, allows trigging of run from hand unit)
Integrated flexible LED light for using handset in dark environments (custom)
External long-range antennae for use from within DIT tent (custom)

Also, I will consider renting my FIZ (3 channel Preston) but it has to be with very little lead time (maybe 1 week out max) as I need to keep it generally available for my Steadicam gigs. Longer term rentals may be possible however, shoot me a proposal!

Recently completed two RED gigs with a third next week; single-channel system mounted full-time on the camera is working beautifully. Low profile and high return efficiency-wise.
