I normally output dpx files from redcine but recently needed to output some jpegs.

Am I correct in saying that there is no way to control the quality of the jpeg output by redcine ?

If so what is the default quality setting of the jpeg it is outputting ? Is it set at minimum compression-max quality ?

Thanks for any insight.

Geoff

I was going to ask this question too.

can't u tiff out then convert in any photo app, pref to png for better quality.

Of course I could but that is not what the question is asking - I just want to know what quality jpeg setting is being used when outputting jpegs from RedCine and I am surprised there is no control available to decide this oneself.

I normally output DPX anyway

surprised??, redcine is filled with weird annoying things, jpeg quality adjustment is far from being in the top 10 missing options.is someone making a list for red guys?
