So what happened to the Adobe plugin for CS3?

Jim said it would be One Week away Ten weeks ago.

sometimes the unexpected happens.

I am sure you will love the idea that when you DO get the plugin it works as it should :)

It's been harder to get it to a releaseable state than we originally thought. A bunch of the core stuff is being rewritten to make it usable.

Is CS4 going to come with the plugin?
If anyone has definite info on CS4 and RED plugin, please advise us now. As CS4 is only couple of weeks away, this will help us sort our mess accordingly.

From Adobe . . . "RED R3D and AVCHD join Panasonic P2 and Sony XDCAM EX and HD as camera formats that are supported by Adobe Creative Suite software applications, with no transcoding or rewrapping."

But I wouldn't expect it in two weeks. Two months maybe.
FWIW, I hope you are right

That means CS4 will come with R3D capability from day 1.

On the Adobe website it says, Production Premium CS4 will be available late October. Hope Adobe stand by their statements.

Keeping fingers crossed for this month for CS4 release this month.
