Hi!

I'm DIT'ing a feature film at the moment and have a problem with a RED charger. I was wondering if anyone has an idea for a solution.
The power light is on as normal but when I put batteries on the charger it doesn´t respond. The charger lights are off. Not blinking no light at all.
Do you have any idea what that can be?

Luckily I have a spare charger on set :-) But it would be nice if it was something trivial.

Thanks

Morten

check the pins on both the batts and charger. Is it happening with all batts?

I am experiencing the same issue with one of my chargers. The light on the power switch illuminates, but the charger's internal fan does not start up, and it will not charge anything.

Send it back to RED, they give you a new one if they cant fix it. I have had 2 go down the same exact way.

They turn it over in a week. perfect when they come back.
Must be something minor, that's screwing up. I think more annoying for them than us, unless your in the middle of a shoot.

If this happens on one battery, just try the other side. I have one battery where the (-) pin is either missing or jammed up (can't tell which) and it will only re-charge on slot #2

well known problem. Send it back to Red and ask them to send you a new one at the same time.
