I got a couple of friends together to test my RED in brooklyn this weekend. The idea was to test several Nikon lenses. The 17-35mm is amazing. We also used a 28-85mm, 100mm and 85-200mm. We shot mostly 4k 16x9 and the slowmo stuff in 2k 16x9.

Edited in FCP using the _m 4k proxies and the _h 2k proxies.

I used Crimson to go back and forth from FCP to Redcine. The color correction was just quick pass in Redcine.

I have a new appreciation for 1st AC's - cause pulling focus by myself while walking backwards was impossible.

Nice.

There were two shots of the guys cu - before they meet - that seems a bit flatter in the colours. Was that the lens or done in post? Maybe some light hit the front element?

Thanks for sharing.

(And as always: beware of posting with Vimeo, you give up quite a lot of your rights by doing so...)

Didn't really do anything in post except try to make things look "normal." I probably didn't expose those shots correctly or something like that.

I went from FCP out as prores full 2k then used compressor to create the 1280x720 at 5000kbits.
