Does anybody know the differences between the Wave and CP100 and CP200
not just price
but what can the others do that the Wave can not do.

Any information would be appreciated.
Im looking for an operator whos used these to reply not just specs.

Thanks

I've played with the Tangent Wave and found it haptically like a Mattel toy. I'm not going to purchase it. It's intended for use on set, hotel rooms, low budget suites, etc...

The Tangent CP 100 is a different beast, high quality, modular desingned and accomplishs almost everything a colorist needs. You can start with the 3-Ball module and extend later to a fully tricked out setup. Personally I'd like the balls slighly bigger. I've never saw the CP 200. So no comment on this.

If you want to set up a grading suite with a software solution, say Scratch, SpeedGrade or Color the CP 100 is the way to go. FilmLight builds for their Baselight system a propritary panel which is IMHO the nicest around. Nevertheless the CP100 is from high value and compared to the Cooper panels by far the nicest solution.

Hans I appreciate your msg.
I was looking for that, I will be very catutios on the Mattel toy now.
I thought it might be my solution but i guess its not.
I stay away from the JL Cooper myself due to how its jumpy and not very creamy like the CP200.

Right now my focus in on building a CP200 set.
Until something at a reasonable price comes out that can do the job at a quality level.

thanks Hans
