  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Toscana mia! A dedicating to the entity Gaïa

I don't know why but when I arrived in H264 format all appear a bit wached out. I went in to the sequence and did the trick of the transparency with a straight alpha, it did increase my black level, but no luck when it arrived on vimeo server.

Sounds like it might be a QT gamma issue????

BTW, stunning footage and music.

Ok,

If this is "playing around".... then what does your for real stuff look like?? :sarcasm:

I don't have that probleme with prores HQ, it seems related to the codec H264 but I don't think it's a gama issue.
The fact is, if I do export H264 with red cine it's fine.

I can put a download link, but it's going to take me time. The 1280*720 H264 version is 500 MO. A 19020*1080 will be much biger.
Again, thank you every body, and to my Toscan neighbour, signore Corrado Silveri, hope one day will have the oportunity to meet in Toscany.
Brice

Just send me a PM the next time you plan a shooting...

Ciao!

Wonderful...

Beautiful work and I agree, what's still missing is a story getting into the concept of Gaia. I was surprised at Wikipedia that this concept is not as old as I thought.
What would you think of sharing footage with some Redusers all over the planet to get deeper into the concept? I can see a beautiful project arising this way.

Rocky 8 is really funny!

Thank you Johan,
Funny you're mentioning Rocky, wish was already involving an insect.
I remember we shot with a Frazier lens, and a lot's of light on set. My insect friend was freaking out with lights and was atracted by the black hole of lens, we got nice travelling like that.

I'll post an H264 of gaïa soon. I mean when I'll succed with uploading on that mo*$Ô °%^*+ server!!! No luck for now.

And
Mr Jannard,
I feeling flated...
I guess now I can put the official "shot on red" logo at the end of generic without pissing you off. Hé hé.
Cheers

thx pal.. btw.. that Gaia thing rocks

Brice, that was amazingly EPIC. Some of the best stuff I've seen on this board. What was your lens of choice for the macro work? Keep sharing man. I dig your style

All insects were shot with the Nikon Micro 60mm F2.8.
Again thanks to all, happy some redusers enjoyed my modest Gaïa tribute.
Cheers
