  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

ok, i want to fuck my camera. that's right, take off the lens cap and have my way with it. i just finished the rough cut on my feature, SHOT 90 PERCENT ON BUILD 14 in May, mind you, and i am sooooooo goddamn happy with the camera's performance I want to have sex with it. i slapped my rough cut (temp sound) on DVD, fearing the worst--a 20 percent drop in darkness, etc etc--but goddamn it, it was it the most beautiful footage i've ever seen, i swear on palin's over-used rouge. now listen fuckers, you're all techs, i'm just a hack indie, i get that. but damn!

p.s. love that red allows posts like this, things can get so uptight on red user and thats the exact opposite of how red seems to work, their laid back about having their hands in the future, and the future is one hot bitch! it gave birth to jim's "Red". keep up the hard work and i would say thanks for my camera and extras but clearly with epic and scarlet your too busy for thank yous.

Apparently that's the holdup on IMS support for the RED. In addition to taking every kind of lens, it also allows the camera to be used for other purposes.......
 
RED doesn't want the camera to be taken advantage of by irresponsible users.

Yes we know Rian made a cool film. We all loved Brick, and his comments are more well informed than most. He's entitled to his opinion but it all seem a little too whiny to me. If Red was really so inferior do you think he'd need so many paragraphs to convince you?
I think he need to use a more efficient compression scheme.

Yeah - who cares what he thinks anyway. The proof is in the pudding - and I've seen how 4K looks projected on a 120 foot screen at IBC and that's all that matters to me.
