I just bought a 17" Panasonic Monitor and noticed that it has a Color Temperature setting. What setting should I use when shooting?

Should I match it to the RED's color temperature? (I.e. if I'm shooting 3200 then should I set the monitor for 3200?)

Thanks

D65 is standard!

I have 3 of the original 1700s. I am now speaking only/mostly about the 1700s. I do not like the "Film Gamma" I run "Standard". Standard def (from other cameras) will appear soft, so I crank up both H & V sharpness to +20. They can inherently have a green spike in the 60% range (skin tone) so run Phase at 26. I also run contrast at 52.

You will love that monitor!

Is it the BT-LH 1700 or the newer 1760?

It's the 1700.

Thanks for the info richcam1.

That brings up a good question, what settings are people using on this monitor to get the best image quality out of it?

The optional audio board is also cool! Especially now that Red is enabling audio down the SDI. (I have not tried it yet). Its awesome for clients!

Its a great monitor.

When mine get back in Thursday, I will give you all the numbers that I like.

I whack the phase even more; usually 23 or 24.
They are a bit green...
Cheers,
H.
