Well I am back in NC after an exciting trip to LA, the film
Looks amazing on a high end theater screen. Very happy with
Results and I have a good feeling now, no more questions about
Red blown up. It's funny but for the first time I now feel like all that
Geek stuff is behind me. This format is here and will not go away, time
To open a new chapter and focus on storytelling for me and my brother
on a personal level. All the shots looked amazing, even the ones we zoomed
in at 130% and sometimes more. Lots of really great contacts made at very high levels in Hollywood for us, and respect of what we are doing was shown across the board...all very encouraging and making it very clear that we should
Keep moving forward with our projects on the entertainment side. Met a few red guys, Chime in here so I know your username! Very cool, glad you guys could make it out :) Sorry I missed you Jarred! Next time I promise :)
We have lots of things in the works and are going to get very busy in the short term with that stuff. Again I can't say it enough, this red system truly
Sets a new bar in the digital world. One that others will find it hard to surpass.

Thanks again guys, now I need not think about what format our first feature
Will be shot on and can focus on telling a great story.

Haha, we'll see about that, once an uber geek always an uber geek!

Seriously, I know what you mean though. I don't even pay much attention to camera releases anymore. I have the one I want.

Lenses, though, lenses. Ah, lenses...

Congratulations. It is great to see you and your brother's amazing talent recognized. Break on through to the other side...

Special Thanks

Special Thanks

I just want to take a minute to give special thanks. It took a collaboration of people to make the film possible, so I want to thank each and everyone of them from the bottom of my heart. Thank you redusers! To those of you that came out and all who have had nothing but kind and supportive words to say, I thank you. I also want to thank Jim Jannard and his team Red who worked so hard to create more than a tool but a dream machine!

Olson clan.....well you know.....there are no words..

Obin,
Just wanted to say again how great it was to meet you guys and see Red on a full sized movie screen. I'm still blown away by how amazing your movie looked.

Can't wait to see what you guys do next.

It looked AWESOME! Congrats guys.

And I totally feel you on putting the geek stuff on the backburner once you without a doubt feel confident with the image quality in the biggest possible venue. I had the same experience recently.

You guys have some very big things ahead in your future! :)

Obin,
Glad to hear that everything went well in LA. I'd like to stop in next time I'm in your area.

Please do, call before you come though to make sure we are around.
