I understand that Adobe is working with red on the R3D codec, I think it will be wise for Adobe to figure out a way to send QT files to Aplle color And back, unless they plan to relaese thier own version of color via Redcine and Assimilate

can color do r3d?
someone said something about transcoding to prores first...

also in color we would be stuck with 2k.....

color finesse works up to 4k and 32 bit and comes with after effects...

and if that dosn't cut it...combustion or fusion...

there is a lot of grading software out there....color has a nice user interface...

yeah color is only limited to 2k, dang!
well most of us will only end up on HD or SD, and 2k is plenty info for blow up to film, also anyone with the money to transfer 4k I would strongly advice to use filmmaster, speedgrade, scratch, or lustre.

is it just me or does everyone check each morning to see if the plugin is available.

yeah, but, remember it makes a big difference in your final product if you downsampled 4K image to 2K image after grading it in 4K, than you just cut 75% of your pixels and start grading your 2K image in color... that's a fact a 4K imae is to give you more possibilities without loosing much detail in your final product and getting perfect image...
