I would like to proudly associate with India's first feature film "Achchamundu Achchamundu" shot on Red One Digital Cinema Camera. Shot in 28 days on locations of New Jersey, USA and expected to be released in both film and Digital format later this year across India.

Achchamundu Achchamundu - Is the start of a revolution on Digital Cinema in India. Currently India is largest producer of feature films spanning across 14 languages over 1000 films per year. India is also the early adapter of Digital Cinema with more than 2000 cinema halls across India projecting films digitally in either E-Cinema / D-Cinema presently and the list grows every week.

Cast and Crew of Achchamundu Achchamundu:

Starring Prasanna / Sneha / Emmy Award Winner John Shea | A Project East West - A LLC Production | DOP: Chris Freilich | Music: Karthik Raja | Editor: N.P.Sathish | Red Consultant: Gopal Balaji (India) | Production Designer: Elizabeth Jones | Producers: Ananth Govindan / Asma Hashmi / Ramzan Lakhani / Arun Vaidyanathan / P.Srinivasan | Casting: Adrienne Stern | Production Executive: G.A. I would like to share posters and working still of the project. More details about the project will be released soon.

The Website is great!

Can't wait to see the finished product!

Haha, Looking good but you guys ripped off the godfather soundtrack for the trailer! Come on Bollywood there is something known as indirect influence.

India makes about 1200 movies every year of which more than 900 flops. The flops are cheaply made but never make it even to one theater for one week. In India, film producers rent the theater and then show the movie. Then the ticket price is divided among all parties. They still make more successful movies every year than all the movies made in US every year. An average movie budget is $60K. Amazing. With RED, now they can make even more flops.

I did a google search on this movie. No mention of it anywhere on the web. Is anybody going to see this RED film?

Vermoski - I don't know which part you are from, But you seems more envy with our film industry and I appreciate some decency in your comments. Even flops are difficult to make.

I strongly condemn your comments.

India makes about 1200 movies every year of which more than 900 flops.
Lesson #1
Wow, just now I realized that every movie made in Hollywood is a hit with exception one or two flops, am I right..?

The flops are cheaply made
Does it make any difference making a flop with huge budget..?
OR Do you mean to say that movies made with HUUUUUUGE budgets should be automatically become HITS.
OR Flops should never be done with lowbudget..?
Let me understand the new rules
Lesson #2
if movie made with 1000 bucks, makes 2000 bucks business is called FLOP
if a movie made with 10 million bucks makes 1 million bucks business is called a HIT.

film producers rent the theater and then show the movie. Then the ticket price is divided among all parties.
I don't understand the problem here. If producer is renting a theatre and making money for all his parties. Is it not all about filmmaking..?
I didn't know hollywood makes money is a different way.
Lesson #3
In Hollywood producer gives his movie FREE to distributors. OR theatre owners keep all the money himself without dividing the ticket price among parties..
Note:Wish I could be a theatre owner in US. Probabaly this is the reason one of the indian exhibitor recently acquired 250 theatres in US.

They still make more successful movies every year than all the movies made in US every year. ?
Assuming US producing 1000 movies a year, India makes 1200 SUCCESFUL movies every year, but 900 out of 1200 are flop..?
Lesson #4
All movies produced in US are inferior to India's flop movies.

An average movie budget is $60K.
From the above statement we can learn two lessons
Lesson #5
Inferring from above lesson, India produces flop moves with $60K far better than US movies with $60million budget.
Lesson #6
Do not join Film School, go to India and make TWo movies with your $120K instead spending in school.

Amazing. With RED, now they can make even more flops.
Lesson #7
One can make better flops with RED, how do we define BETTER.
If I need to define better "All movies made with RED are flops: am I correct?

I did a google search on this movie. No mention of it anywhere on the web.
Lesson #8
Type some jibberish and claim that you did not find anything on web
OR
Type the correct spelling Achchamundu in www.imdb.com you might be lucky

WOW, it has John Shea in it and cinematographed by a AFI graduate.

Is anybody going to see this RED film?
Lesson #9
People watch movies because of technology..
People watched TRAFFIC because it was shot with various cameras.
People watched Apocalypto because it was shot digitally.
People stopped watching movies for talent or for stories even if it has regional fast rising star in it OR South India's top heroine casted in it.

Lesson #10
US people cannot watch Indian movies, cause they can't follow the language, they have to be subtitled.

Great lesson
Siva Kollipara

I would like to see this movie, just because it was shot on RED, even if I do not understand the language.
I bet it would be better than shot on film.
Where can I get a DVD?
Is this movie going to be shown in Europe?
I am curious about the plot.
Can someone give a plot spoiler.
