  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Very interesting... Where is this taking place? Is the idea to make a film like four rooms with Tarantino, Rodriguez, et all? By the way, I liked the maid :love:

The The , NO NO ; she's my wife:)

and yes The idea is to create four different shorts under the same roof, but there is more to it. The place is special so is the Maid:)

I am looking for a great little stories, talented directors/producers and MONEY:)
This is supposed to be a feature lenght film. But the form of it is flexible.
Can go on tv as a series, DVD, you know one dish for everyone.

I'll be more then happy to explain it all, but I am afraid to give to much away.
 
Interesting.

Have to agree with Peter, the sound FX are inconsistent. Cart the same the whole way through, not sure if I like that. Also we only hear the maid's shoes in the one shot and not in the extreme close to the back of her legs and the wider shot as she walks away.

I thought I'll get away with it...
Having it all (full sound) at the end was just to much. I wanted to make it more surreal and a bit disturbing.
The maid is a Devil after all:)

I'll give it some more time, sound design is a whole other world.

Is there any profit sharing for the two director / producers you are looking for?
How much financing are you looking for the total project / each episode?
Is principal photography supposed to take place in Canada or New York (The two places mentioned in your website) or can it be anywhere in the US?
Does a script already exist for your two episodes?
Do all the episodes have to have some characters in common (like the maid) to form some kind of continuity?
Would this be a union gig or independent?
Who would own copyright on the work as a whole?
Would the aim be to submit this to film festivals or are you planning to try to pre-sell it to a distributor before filming?
Do you have any names attached to this yet?
Is the aim of this to be shot exclusively on Red, or can each director of each episode choose his format of choice?
Do you already have any financing for this?


...Phew... So many questions! :) I think you can answer most of these without giving away anything further regarding the concept. If you are serious about finding people here on this board maybe it wouldn't hurt to give us some more info as inquiring minds want to know.

P.S. I'm sorry about liking the maid. I didn't realize she was your wife. If it helps, I was referring to her acting ability. :innocent:

Yes, at least 80-90% of a total profit will go back to the investors. The other 10-20% will remain within the company caring the administration, development, and other costs.

How much financing are you looking for the total project / each episode?
Total project is roughly estimated at $40.000-$50.000

Since we have the location and it costs close to nothing, at this moment it's in Canada.

Does a script already exist for your two episodes?
I have two ideas (treatment) where only one will have a go.
Only the link story plot is described at the moment.
The rest is yours.

Three characters are in common to all the stories.
The motel (it's alive:)
maid (I know it makes you happy:)
and moron receptionist.

At this moment totally independent

There is some need of the uniformity which has to be determined at some point. Red is the way to go, but I am open for discussions.

On my part yes.

I have also started to develop the "rules of conduct"

Each Director/Producer is responsible for his own project from start to the end.
During each step of the development a group meetings are going to be obligatory.
During production each director gets a full support from other producers
Each short has to be approved by majority vote of the directors/producers in all stages of the development (script, production, post production)
In case where one of the directors/producers doesn't comply with all the terms, he or she can be voted out by the majority.

so if i understood correctly, each director needs to find his/her own financing? is this correct? if so, then why wouldn't i just make my own short exactly the way i want to without having to go through the 'approval' process? in other words, what are you offering the directors?

and nothing stops you from doing it Ricbrazil.
All I am offering is an opportunity to make a feature film without taking a double mortgage on your house.
It's a collective project, but you as a creator have almost all the freedom you want. There is only a guideline of the story, the rest is your imagination.
Don't forget, I am in the same shoes as the rest of the gang and I will not profit from it in any way more then the rest; having four brains is somehow a reassurance to make the best out of it.
