  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Debayering pattern-how does it work with Red's 1/2,1/4 etc. debayer?

I've been looking at the info on bayer sensors, as viewed here on wikipedia.

But by looking at the images of the Red, Green, Blue photosensors patterns, how they are arranged that is, I'm having trouble figuring out, what is "skipped" when a half (or further on down the line) de-bayer is done?

They only pattern that I can get to work is if pairs of lines are skipped, not alternating ones.

Is it done in quadrants? Or some other way?

I'm sure this is quite simple but I can't seem to grasp it, would someone be so kind as to enlighten me.

Nothing, specifically, is skipped - the properties of the wavelet encode is to work like a downsample.
